TWELVE Chelsea Players Still in Germany

As the second round knockout competition begins in Germany today, Chelsea have TWELVE players representing the club still in World Cup 2006.

Germany have Ballack, from England there is Joe Cole, Terry and Lampard, Ghana have Essien (although he is suspended for the Brazil match), from Portugal there is Carvalho and Ferreira, Ukraine has 'The Shev,' Argentina have 'Hello, hello Hernan Crespo,' France have Willie G and Makelele and finally The Netherlands (England's projected Quarter-Final opponents) have Arjen Robben.

Yesterday's action saw France finally get their act together and win their first WC 2006 match beating Togo 2-0, 'The Shev' scored the only goal from the penalty spot as Ukraine beat Tunisia 1-0.

Switzerland beat Korea 2-0 and Spain won their third group game against Saudi Arabia 1-0.

In the first of the second matches which start today, Germany (Ballack) play Sweden kick off 4pm and at 8pm Argentina (Crespo) play Mexico.
