Chelsea Ladies travelled to Liverpool on Sunday knowing that a good performance would help to retain their position in Women's top flight football next season.

 A relegation/promotion two-legged affair against the Ladies of Liverpool ended in a first leg 1-1 draw. A 0-0 draw at Cobham next Sunday, 21st May will see Chelsea Ladies retain their place in the National League.

Chelsea's Laura Cooper gave the Blues the half-time lead, but in the second half Liverpool were the better side and 'Pools Danielle Sheen deservedly equalised.

Liverpool Ladies finished second in their Division, behind Blackburn.

For those wanting to see the second leg, kick off is at 2pm at Chelsea's Training Ground at Cobham next Sunday 21st May 2006.
