Chelsea Press Conference on Monday!

Chelsea Football Club has announced today that there will be a press conference at Stamford Bridge on Monday 15th May, with Michael Ballack in attendance.

Michael Ballack played and scored in his farewell game for Bayern Munich yesterday as the Bundesliga Champions were held at home 3-3 to Borussia Dortmund whose goals were scored by Jan Koller (2) and David Degen. Munich's other scorers were Roy Makaay and Bastian Schweingsteiger. At one point, Munich were 3-1 up.

If you believe what you have read in your newspapers this morning, JM is prepared to use Hernan Crespo as well as cash to lure the services of Andrei Shevchenko from AC Milan.

Shevchenko is reported to have said "I want to leave. I have spoken to the president and there could be a decision in the next few days."

Also reported this morning is that Jose has tabled a £3m bid for for Feyenoord's Ivory Coast striker Salomon Kalou, and Jose is interested in £12m-rated Lyon left-back Eric Adidal.

Adidal has said "I am aware Chelsea are interested in me. They wanted to sign me last season as well. But at the moment I don't have a concrete offer."

Chelsea face competition for his signature from Barcelona.
