Drogba scored Chelsea's equaliser, set up Crespo for Chelse's second and assisted in Chelsea's fourth which was converted by the returning Willie G, in his rightful position and to boot Drogba caused West Ham's Collins and Gabbidon problems all afternoon and as well as this performance being the best by Chelsea since the 4-1 win at Anfield way way back in October, this was 'The Drog's' best since he arrived at the club.

Once I got first wind of the line-up I just knew that the events to the afternoon were going to be special. Firstly JM recalled Geremi for Ferreira, Gallas for Carvalho and next door to Terry (Wish 1 granted), Maniche in for Gudjohnsen. Essien and Lampard accompanying Maniche in midfield and no Cole, Duff or Robben as The Special One went for Drogba and Crespo up front in a straight 4-4-2 (Wish 2 granted).

JM!! You have proved that you can play 4-4-2. Lets play some more!!!!

The special afternoon continued as West Ham took the lead after eight minutes from a James Collins header, which beat Cech at his near post and for me left Super Frank and Del Horno somewhat 'bottling' their challenges before the header struck. Hey when your nervous you would find criticism hehehehehe.

Chelsea rose to the deficit and came back strongly, with Crespo and Drogba going close and Essien going high and wide with successive headers. Then on fifteen minutes, Maniche who seconds before hadd hit the bar and making his first Premiership start was red carded after a clumsy but over the top tackle on West Ham's right-back Scaloni.

It wasn't looking good for the Champions. But fourteen minutes later Drogba equalised and two minutes later Drogba set-up Crespo for a simple tap-in to trun the game on its head and Chelsea were winning 2-1 with only ten-men!!

Chelsea's new formation and lack of width proved to work successfully and in the second-half it was the turn of the two centre-backs, John Terry and Willie G to say 'anything you two can do, we can do better.' JT made it 3-1 after Willie G had hit the bar and Willie made it four after 'Dids' deftly flicked on for Gallas to sweep home.

Sheringham came on late and nearly became the oldest recorded player in the Premiership to score a goal, but his fine effort was cleared off the line.

It was left to Jose to say, "We play with ten, but it looks like we played with twelve."

PS: 20 YEARS A BLUE AND 18 YEARS A BLUE, thoroughly enjoyed themselves at Stamford Bridge this afternoon whilst poor old me was putting the final touches to our house move tomorrow.
