There were three decisions at The Hawthorns yesterday lunchtime that re-affirmed my feelings all season that on a level or equal playing field there are TWO sets of footballing rules: One for Chelsea and one for the opposition.

Chelsea were justifiably angry when West Brom's Ronnie Wallwork went over the top on Claude Makelele's knee and got away with a yellow card. Arjen Robben was sent off for a two footed tackle on West Brom's Jonathan Greening only it seemed after loud and whinging protests from WBA's full-back Paul Robinson who seemed to run the length of the pitch to vent his protests. I am convinced that ref Halsey had his mind made up for him, by Robinson and a whole heap of other WBA players, before he showed Robben the card.

If the card stands, then Robben is set to miss four matches.

Then Halsey FORGOT to book Camara for his dive in Chelsea's penalty area. Funnily enough Halsey demonstrated Camara's action whilst explaining his refusal to award a penalty to West Brom players.

Alot is going to get made of Drogba and his theatricals after he and Greening collided. TV replays clearly show that when Drogba played the ball on, as Greening was rushing back, Drogba's passing leg caught Greening's and the rest they say is history.

The game itself was poor fare. There was more entertainemt on the touchiline with Robson getting wound-up and Mourinho sarcastically applauding Halsey once Robben's card was delivered.

Drogba scored Chelsea's first 'a la Ossie-esque' shruggging off four WBA's defenders before delivering a low shot into the bottom cormer of the net. After a dreadful mix-up in the WBA defence, Drogba and England's midweek Man of the Match Joe Cole worked together before Cole stroked in Chelsea's second.

Kanu pulled a WBA consolation goal back two minutes from time.

Prior to the game both sets of supporters impeccably observed the minute's silence for a young WBA fan, who also worked for the club and for the 'King of Stamford Bridge' - Peter Osgood.
