Del Horno lasted longer against Barcelona than he did yesterday. Completely out of sorts - misplaced passes, skimmed by Lua Lua, Del Horno could be out of the door in the Summer. Duff replaced him on thirty minutes.

Although The Drog had a hand in the both goals, one a sublime flick to Gudjohnsen, for me now he is past his sell by date. He missed two clear cut chances to make the scoreline even more harsh on Portsmouth and large sections of the MHL stand were chanting for Hernan Crespo, even though Crespo wasn't on the bench. Pehaps The Drog could be a Summer departure too!!

Robert Huth had another commanding game and his last ditch clearance when Lua Lua was through in the second-half was brilliant. I have criticised Huth on these pages in the past, but praise and credit where praise and credit are due.

Once JM made two more second half changes, Makelele and Gudjohnsen on for J Cole and Wright-Phillips Chelsea had the right balance and both the goals came from sweet build-ups involving Drogba and Gudjohnsen. I have already mentioned Drogba's sweet flick before Lampard rifled home on 65 minutes and thirteen minutes later from a sweet chip from Gudjohnsen, Robben raced on to score past Kiely.

With the majority of the squad away on International duty this midweek, JM and his staff will be praying that there are no injuries before the team line-up at WBA next Saturday lunchtime.
