In my preview I finished with ' Don't let the grass grow under your feet boys.' Pitch!!! What was wrong with it!?!?!?. Even a Barcelona Vice-President said on the day of the match, at a pre-match luncheon, that Barca had no complaints about the way Chelsea were dealing with the 'so-called' pitch situation.

And so it proved. Chelsea lost, Barcelona won. Oh Happy Days...... It is going to take a monumental effort for Chelsea to win through to the last eight at the Nou Camp in less than two weeks time. Chelsea at a minimum have to win by TWO CLEAR goals and to be honest with you I really cannot see it happening!!

See its those bad vibes again!!!!! Or is it plain old realism?!?

On the night last night Barca proved to be the better team, albeit I am almost scared to mention the sending off of Del Horno for the 'nothing' but air challenge on Messi. Messi who took the full brunt of an accidental collision (I should know I was right there), decided to roll around like a puppy wanting his belly rubbed, before looking up to look for the ref to make sure they had eye contact, before continuing his histrionics!!!! Result? Straght Red for Del Horno.

Once Del Horno went, it all went pear-shaped for JM and Chelsea, despite Chelsea taking the lead with a Motta own goal. JT with the second own goal of the game brought Barcelona's parity, before Eto'o, completely oblivous throughout the game stung Chelsea with an expected winner.

Tuesday 7th March, I would love to see Chelsea all guns blazing for ninety minutes and if by doing so get tanked 5-0, at least Chelsea and the thousands of fans who will flock to the Nou Camp will have pride in saying 'We Gave it a Go!!

COME ON CHELSEA!
