Anyway, here we are and here we go. Below you will find the preview to Saturday's game with Aston Villa, but on to the action from Saturday.

The whole world must have been screaming with delight when news filtered through that the Champions had conceded a goal for the first time this Premiership season and with the greatest respect to young Luke Moore he was probably the furthest down the list of 'first goalscrorers.' But credit where credit is due young Luke took his goal well and made 'mugs' of top quality International players in the process.

From a long Sorensen goal kick, Angel flicked on unchallenged, Moore controlled and took the ball to left on the Chelsea area, JT slid and made contact with the ball, but colliding with Ferriera and Carvalho the ball squirmed out to Moore again who took aim and beat Cech hard and low and the ball flew into the far corner of the net. 1-0 to the Villa.

A minute later the Champions hit back. Essien was kneed in the stomach by Barry. Up stepped Super Frank and through the gracious generosity to Juan-Pablo Angel who stepped to his left therefore leaving a gap in the wall, Super Frank sent a low shot leaving Sorensen stranded. 1-1.

As is the norm with 'The Special One' (barring injuries) JM made three substitutions within 15 minutes of the start of the second half. On came Drogba, Wright-Phillips and Gudjohnsen, Off went Crespo, Robben and Carvalho. Chelsea then went on the offensive and camped themselves in Villa's half. Drogba headed over. Drogba gave Shaunie the 'eyes' look when the latter's cross was safetly gathered by Sorensen. Sorensen tipped a Duff volley over the bar, Angel at the other end went close.

Until enter Eider Gudjohnsen. Controlling the ball, the ball hit his arm. Fair play to the Villians they didn't appeal much, but to manager's David O'Leary's annoyance the ref failed to spot it (like he failed to spot the penalty Chelsea should have had in the first half when JT was brought down and like the Yellow card he gave Robben after slipping/tripping in the area in the 1st half too) the ball found its way to Super Frank who chipped a delightful pass into the path of the Drog. As the Drog miscontrolled the ball and it sipped away from him, Mellberg mis-timed his tackle and the Drog went tumbling.

Up stepped Frank. Low into Sorensen's left hand corner, 2-1 to Chelsea. And thats WHY WE'RE CHAMPIONS.

Onwards and upwards to hopefully TWO classic games at Anfield against Liverpool.

Today is the first opportunity for an opposing team to score against the 'meanest' defence in the Premiership since a National newspaper announced its £10,000 score a goal against Chelsea competition. Yep. The first player to score a goal against Chelsea will win £10,000. Just got one thing to say about that. Don't Premiership players earn enough already?

For the first time this season Jose has managed to have a full week of training in the build-up to today's game with Aston Villa and even the England manager, Sven Goran Erikkson popped in to Cobham yeaterday to see Jose and see how the players go about their work. (Maybe he was after some tips).

With the exception of Wane Bridge (who played for the reserves at Watford in midweek) who is still regaining fitness and Asier Del Horno still injured, Jose has a full squad to choose from.

Its a tough week for Chelsea. After today they travel to Liverpool for the eagerly anticipated 'revenge' match in midweek and then next Sunday its back to Liverpool again for a Premiership match and then we go on another 'boring' break for World Cup qualifiers.

Expect 'The Special One' to play the following eleven:

Cech, Ferreira, Carvalho, Terry, Gallas, Makelele, Wright-Phillips, Essien, Lampard, Robben, Crepso.

If Didier Drogba makes it into the game at some point, it will be his 50th appearance and Jose made the effort to praise the Ivory Coast hit-man.

"He is scoring in every competition and he is scoring important goals. In the Carling Cup he was important in the Final and in the Community Shield he was important also."

Villa wait on Baros, who picked up an achilles injury at Wycome whilst Kevin Phillips is definitely out.

The world will have its eyes at the Bridge this afternoon to see if Chelsea concede and to see if the Champions can be beaten.
