Saturday morning saw the Academy take on MK Dons at Woughton-on-the Green, Milton Keynes and despite hitting the crossbar fifteen minutes from time the match ended in a 0-0 draw.

Scott Sinclair (the heart throb of the Chelsea Academy) was the unlucky player as he tried to convert a Shaun Cummings cross.

Considering the Dons beat Crystal Palace 3-2 away last weekend, coach Brendan Rodgers wasn't too unhappy, although he expressed his thoughts on further improvement. Rodgers elaborated by saying, "We gave another very good performance, this time against a well organised and strong team. But we found it difficult to break down their 4-5-1.In the second-half when the game opened up a bit more, we created more chances but we failed to make their keeper work."

Rodgers added, "We kept a clean sheet, defensively we were strong and they had no shots on goal. Many of our players showed terrific mentality, bravery in trying to do the right things throughout."

Next weekend, the Academy are away at Charlton, kick-off 11.00am at Sparrows Lane, Eltham SE9.

The Academy will be out to match the first team's victory last Saturday and improve their own record of two wins, two draws and one defeat.
