Boring Boring Chelsea, Boring Boring Chelsea

The ruthless Chelsea bandwagon marched onto a six point lead at the top of the Premiership this afternoon at The Valley.

As well as rolling over Charlton who, before the game had boasted a 100% record, Chelsea also created a NEW Premiership record (just one of many now) by not conceding a single goal in the start of any Premiership season.

Six games equals 540 minutes or nine hours of football. And six games is now six victories with twelve goals scored and NONE conceded. Although Man Utd do not play until tomorrow and Arsenal do not play until Monday, Chelsea are eight and twelve points ahead of their rivals, respectively.

With no disrespect to Charlton, their previous opponents were hardly major testers until today. Chelsea, defending champions cruised to victory with second half goals in a five minute spell from Hernan Crespo and Arjen Robben and Charlton's defeat could have been made much worse had Crespo and Gallas not hit the woodwork.

Jose only made one change from the starting eleven against Anderlecht last Tuesday night, rotating Didier Drogba with Hernan Crespo. So in terms of pre-match team predictions a BIG up to me for getting ten out of eleven right (snigger!!).
