In the first game of the weekend Man Utd beat Aston Villa 1-0 at Old Trafford. Ruud Van Nistlerooy scoring the winner. Later SAF proclaimed gleefully that RVN would score 30 this season. SAF also said that he wasn't going to let the Chelsea/Arsenal game ruin his Sunday lunch. Yeah right SAF, pull the other one you might find a bottle of whisky attached to it.

Onto the last game of the weekend, thanks to the 'Knee of Drog' Chelsea beat Arsenal for the first time in the League since 1995. Jose Mourniho has yet to be on a losing side against Arsene Wenger's men. The defeat also ruined Arsene Wenger's 500th match in charge. Shame. NOT!!

Chelsea's next opponents WBA, won 2-1 against Portsmouth with Geoff Horsfield scoring both goals. WBA's new signing started life at The Hawthorns on the bench.

Man CIty won at St Andrews 2-1 against Birmingham despite being behind as early as the seventh minute. Incidentally Jari Jarosik today signed on-loan at Brimingham for the next 12 months.

Liverpool got into gear for their Champions League qualifier with a 1-0 against Sunderland at Anfield.

And in the only 0-0 game in the Premiership between Newcastle and West Ham, West Ham's Paul Konchevsky was harshly red-carded for a tackle that TV pictures clearly showed he won the ball. Perhaps the authorities should seriously start to consider having a third ref up in the stands somewhere, more to help than to hinder.

Everton won 1-0 at Bolton. It's was that good of a game, there's not a lot else to say.
