Interesting new twist to the Chelsea and Ashley Cole 'tap-up.' Claims are this morning that it was Ashley Cole via his agent Jonathan Barnett that contacted Chelsea, and NOT Chelsea that contacted Cole. Interesting.
And what makes the whole situation even more laughable is that Chelsea now say that they DO NOT want Ashley Cole anymore HA HA HA HA!! So what was the point of the whole exercise? Here we sit this morning wIth Chelsea finally admitting that they did meet Cole and his agent at the London Hotel as claimed and as witnessed by the waiter who had signed a sworn affadavit and the same who has now given his evidence to the inquiry. We sit in limbo now because we need to decide if Chelsea are in breach of the rules or is it that Cole's agent is now in breach of the rules and the more guilty party. And what about Cole himself? Personally my dear I don't give a damm. If I was an Arsenal supporter I wouldn't want anything more to do with him. Paying good and hard earned money to watch someone who had been secretly plotting his own financial gain and security whilst appearing to be loyal to the Arsenal cause. It stinks and it is disgusting. No doubt the 'die-hards' will stick by Cole and forgive him, but what about Wenger himself. All along Wenger had said that he didn't want to ask Cole about the situation because he couldn't trust Cole to tell the truth. Trust. He couldn't trust Cole. Does that mean that Wenger cannot trust any of his players anymore, or hasn't Wenger not had any trust in his players at all. That stinks and that is disgusting too. Mind you if I had a face like Wenger's (who looks like he has been stung by a wasp) I wouldn't trust anybody either. No doubt Chelsea have been naive to attend a meeting in such a public venue. It seems that the meeting was booked and scheduled by Cole's agent and not by any representative from Chelsea Football Club, all Chelsea did was to turn up. It seems that Cole again via his agent made all the contacts, made all of the running and made all of the arrangements. So does that constitute that Chelsea breached the rules? K3 - 'Making an illegal approach to contracted players.' Or is it that as the inquiry continues evidence will prove that Jonathan Barnett, Cole's agent is in breach of the rules? K5 - 'A contract player, either by himself or any person on his behalf, shall not, either directly or indirectly make an approach to another club without having obtained the prior written consent of his club.' Thank God that K9 is a dog. This morning I find the whole situation quite ironic. Simply because Arsenal's Vice-Chairman David Dein is leading a campaign at UEFA to clamp down on agents and now we have got a situation where Cole's agent is hogging the headlines. Arsenal insist that all agents who deal with the club must sign a contract agreeing not to destabilise any of the club's players. Dein said 'If any agent breaks the contract, it is up to us to either report it to the FA or the Premier League. Or we could take civil action.' Better get on the phone Dein HA HA HA! We try to give an equal balance on 50 Years over 100 Years unlike some one-sided drivel written or reported elsewhere. All I wish for now is for this matter to be resolved one way or another very quickly and punishments taken and accepted without fuss. How Ashley Cole must be feeling this morning whilst preparing for the match against Bolton (if selected) onyl he knows. I have written it once earlier, but frankly my dear I DON'T GIVE A DAMM'. HA HA HA HA COME ON CHELSEA
