What is it with Ferguson and that nose of his? Well after stating the obvious that his nose is huge and extremely red (probably through red wine and scotch excesses), he does like to stick it into other people's business.
Does being a 'Sir' give him the divine right to comment on subjects that he is not in possession of the full facts? Or is it because of his years that gives him the right to act as a washer woman, in pinny and hair net scrubbing the front step of all that has trod in before? Ferige's latest intervention comes on the heels of Chelsea's defeat in Barcelona, the alleged tunnel incident, the Chelsea complaint to UEFA, and the press and media more in Spain calling Chelsea bad losers. That may be the case, but when you get a ref like Frisk giving Barcelona the benefit of the doubt on so many occasions during the match. Frisk sending off Drogba for a challenge that the majority of Premiership referees would have just given a free kick, Deco's diving antics all night. What else would you expect? Chelsea and Jose to roll-over to walk away without saying anything. And it certainly doesn't help the cause when you see your £24 million hitman Didier Drogba scorn a chance to put Chelsea 2-0 up, the word frustration is mild compared to the words and thoughts going on in every Chelsea fans head and management and players and staff alike. Heaven knows what was going through Drogba's mind at the time. My first reaction was Drogba you ain't worth £2.40 let alone £24m. The hardest job of the missed move was keeping onside and he did that comprehensively. Ferguson said about Mourinho and Chelsea. "I don't know enough about Mourinho to say whether he is a sore loser. But you have to trust these referees because they are supposed to be the best.' Ferguson also added ' It's interesting that the Barcelona people say Chelsea started it. Barca claim one of Chelsea's coaches has a go at someone and that's exactly what happened with us at Stamford Bridge. Some guy had a go at me. I don't know what they are trying to do but there was some method there.' Mourinho's response was classic. If anybody saw the whole press conference which was shown on TV, Mourinho was his arrogant self and never a man that looks under 'pressure.' Mourinho said, 'Would Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger not want to swap with us? We are top of the league by nine points, we didn't lose at home in the Champions League to Milan and didn't lose 3-1 in Munich. Do you think losing two games has made me doubt my team? No chance.' Mourinho then went into overdrive after Chelsea's two defeats against Newcastle in the FA Cup and Barcelona in the Champions League. He said ' No team in Europe is in a better position than us. Barcelona are top of their league and in the Champions League - but lost their cup. Milan are in the Champions League but not top of their league and not in the cup. Arsenal and Man United are in the FA Cup but not in the Carling Cup. When I am not happy with the club it will be goodbye. But I don't want to say goodbye after two defeats.' Mourinho, when asked about his 'honeymoon' period at Chelsea being over, he replied 'What do you mean it is the end of the honeymoon? I have been haivng a honeymoon with my wife for 20 years.' Yes Jose. Classic Jose, probably at his arrogant best!!!
