Chelsea 1-0 West 'Hooligan' United

Always happens. Every time West 'Hooligan' United come to Stamford Bridge there is always trouble. I mean what is the point. I suppose West Ham fans thought better not be left out after the squabbles at the New Den the previous night.

To a degree Chelsea have to take some blame for the events of last night. And I am not talking about the Chelsea fans misbehaving. I am actually talking about the design of Stamford Bridge that doesn't cater for the 'away' fans in the numbers of 6,000/7,000 fans. For Premiership matches, away fans get the lower tier of the East Stand which holds in total about 3,000 fans in two sections. If the away team do not require the 2nd section, then Chelsea sell those remaining seats to the home fans. But with FA rules as they are for domestic cup matches, 'away' clubs are entitled to at least 20% of the total of the ground capactity. I hope that West Ham do the right thing and name, shame and ban those who were involved in the fracas last night.

On the football front. Seems like the tradition of away team goalkeepers who have outstanding matches against Chelsea kept up the record last night with Jimmy Walker saving brilliantly on a number of occasions from Kezzer, who eventually scored his first competitive goal in the Chelsea Blue. In addition to denying Kezzer Walker also saved from Super Frankie's spot kick even after being hit by missiles from his own fans. It really does not make sense. And I liked the way that Kezzer dismissed the cut above his left eye from a West Ham missile thrower as an 'accident.' Kezzer. Can you really be that nice!!!

Now that Kezzer has finally scored his first competitive goal, although he did bag a couple in pre-season, I can see him go on and score more and more as the season progresses and I can't see Kezzer turning into a re-incarnated Robert Fleck. Now that Robben is fit and tearing down the left, for Kezman it should be like home from home. As they say 'Batman and Robben.'

Finally I was pleased to see 'King' Carlo get a game and keep a clean sheet and a clean sheet without JT in the middle. I am not taking anything away from the others in the back four, but after all JT is King JT and stands for what Chelsea is all about.

4th Round Draw. The game of the round has to be - Newcastle United v Chelsea

No doubt Mr Cool, Confident, Arrogant JM will no doubt tell his players that he expects to win this one as he told them before the West Ham game. I would expect the JM tells his players WHAT HE EXPECTS before every game.
