By now you probably have heard or read about The Fat One’s amazing post-match rant after the FA Cup holders defeated a game Middlesbrough 2-0 at The Riverside last night. His angst was thrown at the board for labelling him an ‘interim’ manager and his double angst was aimed at the fans, who he believes will cost Chelsea any chance of glory this season and if Chelsea end up qualifying for the Europa League instead of the Champions League, it will be our fault.

The majority of the 2,000 fans that travelled last night are ‘hardcore,’ traditionalists and fundamentalists, they are the fans who were supporting Chelsea when The Fat One was still in his schools shorts. They go because they love the club, they go because they want to support the team.

The Fat One doesn’t realise or accept that you can separate the two.

They are showing their anger because they have long memories – memories of the comments and remarks aimed at them and me – during the years of spats between him and Mourinho.

What Fatty should have done was to leave out the fans during those spats.

(You want to start spats then you should have kept it between you and Mourinho and you shouldn’t have involved the club,fans or our history.)

Then The Fat One should have been more sincere during his first press conference when he joined Chelsea, towards us, the fans, instead of being patronising, sanctimonious and just basically obnoxious thinking that ‘we’ would forgive him and everything would be alright with the world.

Oh Fatty – How wrong you were and how now, you have finally broken that straw across the camel’s back!

Fatty said, “There is a group of fans who are not doing the team any favours, they are singing and wasting time preparing banners and it is because someone made a mistake.

“I will leave at the end of the season so they don’t need to waste time with me. They have to concentrate on supporting the team.

“That group are not doing the club, players or other fans (I think he means the day-trippers, JCLs, Plastics and those who come to Stamford Bridge armed with more photography equipment than the official club photographer and  lets not forget those who dress in green hunting jackets, brown corderoys and brown shoes).

“What they have to do is continue supporting the team.

“If we cannot achieve what we expect to achieve, to be in the top four and be in the Champions League next year, I will leave.

“The club will stay in the Europa League but the fans will have to take responsibility too. The fans put the players under pressure and they do not create a good atmosphere at Stamford Bridge.

“They have to realise they are making a big mistake as the rest of the fans (as listed above) want to see the team in the Champions League.

“I will manage the team, I will pick my team and I will make my decisions and at the end of the season I will leave anyway as I am interim, as they say.

“I think again, the fans are wasting time.

“I have proved these three months that I want to win every single game., If we win I will be the happiest man in the world.”

For the record Chelsea won with two second-half goals from Ramires or was it Torres? (Let the dubious goals committee sort it out) and Victor Moses after a sublime run from substitute Eden Hazard.

JT came back into centre of defenc e, Paulo Ferreira played at right-back and Ruud Gullit lookalike, Nathan Ake at 18 made his FA Cup debut in midfield and did not put a foot wrong.

Surprisingly Torres started and to be fair to the bloke had a half decent game and if it wasn’t for a slight deflection  on his powerful shot in the second-half, he would have been on the scoresheet without issue.

Demba Ba was left to rot on the bench and Benayoun started the game, leaving Chelsea fans scratching their heads in bewilderment and amazement.

Chelsea’s reward for their toil and victory is a quarter-final date with Man Utd at Old Trafford, Sunday 10^th March 2013, 108 years after the club was formed.

How’s that for a little bit of history?
