Last season at The Liberty it was Chelsea who nicked a last gasp equaliser, on Saturday Swansea returned the favour as Hernandez (oh no not another one....Ed) equalised for the Swans with a little less than two minutes on the clock. The draw meant that Chelsea were disposed as league leaders for the first time this season.

During the build-up to the game, Bobby Di publicly declared that Chelsea are ‘missing’ JT and with 10 goals conceded in the games that the ‘One England Captain, Leader, Legend’ has missed, no one is going to argue with him on that point.

So it seems strange that the same man has declared that JT MAY NOT start against Shaktar on Wednesday for a game that Chelsea simply have to win – a game that could ultimately decide between Thursday night football or continued passage into the last 16.

A half-fit Terry is better than no John Terry.

His presence on the field, on any field, lifts the players.

His leadership and his bravery is second-to-none and he is simply the best centre-half in the country.

A game of this magnitude and importance without John Terry is simply unthinkable.

He has been found NOT guilty in a court of law and he has now served his domestic ban so the man should be allowed to get back to doing what he knows best and that is pushing Chelsea, firstly into a more secure qualification position in the Champions League and getting back to the top of the Premier League.

It has been written here many, many times Chelsea DO NOT have a leader when JT is out of the team and until that problem is resolved, I have no doubt Chelsea will continue to ‘struggle.’

When questioned about Terry and also about Mata and Luiz, Bobby Di said, “Terry is an important player for us and we will welcome him back, we will have to see how the next three days go and then we will make a decision.

“It is going to be a question of waiting for the next couple of days for Luiz and Mata to recover and we hope they will be available to play.”
