The farcial saga of the race row between the Brick from Peckham, the one who plays for QPR and Captain, Leader, Legend JT,  is finally over as JT has decided NOT to appeal his four match ban and £220,000 fine slapped on him by the newly self-appointed highest court in the land, the Sweet FA.

The ban begins with immediate effect and JT will miss the games against Tottingham (on Saturday), 2 x Man Utd and the away game at Swansea at the beginning of November.

The ban DOES NOT prohibit JT from playing in the Champions League and he will be available for selection for the forthcoming trip to Donetsk, when Chelsea take on Shakhtar on Tuesday night.

In a statement released by the ‘One England Captain,’ he says,

“After consideration, I have decided not to appeal against the FA judgement.

“I want to take this opportunity to apologise to everyone for the language I used in the game against QPR last October.

“Although I’m disappointed with the FA judgement, I accept that the language I used, regardless of the context, is not acceptable on the football field or indeed in any walk of life.

“As I stated in the criminal case, with the benefit of hindsight my language was clearly not appropriate reaction to the situation for someone in my position.

“My response was below the level expected by Chelsea Football Club, and by me, and it will not happen again.

“Looking forward, I will continue to do my part in assisting the club to remove all types of discriminatory behaviour from football.

“I am extremely grateful for the consistent support of Chelsea FC, the fans and my family.”

Chelsea Football Club have decided that any club punishment directed towards JT will remain strictly confidential.

Chelsea Football Club said, “The Board has conducted its own investigation into the matter, and considered the various issued involved.

“The Board has taken further disciplinary action in addition to the four-match suspension and £220,000 fine imposed by the FA.

“In accordance with our long-standing policy, that disciplinary action will remain confidential.”

The Sweet FA today announced that they have fined Ashley Cole £90,000 for his inappropriate comment on Twitter and the Sweet FA has warned Cole as to his future conduct.
