CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE

After all the expectation and excitement of today’s publication of the 2012/13 fixtures, FA Cup and Champions League Winners travel to the DW to play Wigan Athletic on opening day, Saturday 18th August, or Sunday 19th, or even Monday night – 20th!

Chelsea’s first home game is against Newcastle United the following Saturday (again could be subject to change) and then because of Super Cup participation against Atletico Madrid in Monaco and International break, Chelsea do not resume their league campaign until 15th September when the Blues travel across West London to take on QPR.

Christmas and New Year fixtures include Aston Villa (H), two away trips to Norwich City and Everton, then QPR turn up at The Bridge on Jan 1st 2013.

With Reading on the list to be re-arranged because of the Super Cup, the home game against Southampton on 15th December will be added to the list, due to Chelsea’s commitments to the Club World Cup.

Before all that, Chelsea go on tour to the USA to play four games in ten days beginning 18th July against Seattle Sounders in Seattle, then Chelsea are reunited with our former double winning manager with a game against PSG in New York four days later.

MLS-All Stars are the opponents in Philadelphia on 25th July, before the tour winds up with a game against AC Milan in Miami on 28th July.

We will of course endeavour to bring you the best possible coverage of Chelsea stateside although Chelsea TV are showing all four games LIVE.
