The Bobby DI revival railroad continues at Stamford Bridge this afternoon as The Blues return to Premier League action and chasing ‘Corrupt Cup’ qualification against struggling Wigan Athletic who are buoyed by two successive wins.
The row with the stiff suits at the FA has continued with Chelsea reportedly penning a strongly worded letter accusing the suits of putting fans safety next weekend at risk.
I mean a 6pm kick off at Wembley is just asking for trouble and the irony is, IF there is any trouble, Chelsea will get charged by the FA for ‘failing to control their fans’!!
Sit back FA, count the money and do nothing else except for smashing down the gabble when you pass sentence!!
The only consolation to the heavy fixture schedule that Chelsea can take comfort from, there isn’t an awful lot of travelling to be done between now and the time the team fly out to the Nou Camp to play on the 24th April.
Home today, down the river on Monday, then Wembley next Sunday, then Barca a few days later, followed by the lunchtime meeting with Woolwich at the Emirates in two weeks time.
Injuries and knocks have forced Bobby Di’s rotational hand – JT, Ashley Cole and Super Frank are likely to be missing, therefore the back four could include Gary Cahill and Ryan Bertrand.
Meireles is likely to replace Super Frank, although I would like to see the return of Chelsea’s ‘Lord Lucan’ Oriel Romeu.
