I do have a little sympathy for Fernando Torres after his sending-off at The Bridge on Saturday mainly because of the instant reactions of ref Mike Dean who in my opinion is the WORST referee the Premier League can offer and Chelsea fans have had to put up with some other horrors in recent years.

Before you jump in and tear my head off. Torres should not have dived in studs showing, but he didn't make contact with Mark Gower and if he did, contact was minimal.

Gower to his credit, jumped straight up to prove to Dean that he wasn't hurt, but because Dean had already made his mind up, Torres was off before Gower got to his feet, and to prove there was no malicious intent in the challenge, both players shook hands!!!

Dean was looking for an incident to make a name for himself. He let a wrath of Swansea challenges go in the first-half, whereby he penalised Chelsea every time. He didn't wake up and realise there were two teams on the park until the 2nd half.

I am convinced if Dean could have found a way to disallow any or all of Chelsea's goals, he would have done.

The last time Dean officiated at The Bridge was a year ago. I hope Dean never ever returns!!

Torres was instrumental in Chelsea's two goal lead at half-time.

For Chelsea's first goal and from a Mata chip, Torres controlled the ball on his chest before swivelling and sending a low shot past Vorm into the bottom left-hand corner of the net and then Torres set Ashley Cole free into acres of space who in turn found Ramires free in the area and Ramires shot past Vorm and again the ball ended up in the bottom far corner.

The non-stop running engine that is Ramires, controlled a Bosingwa pass, before slotting home Chelsea's third, fourteen minutes from time.

Anelka on a diagonal run from the far side of the pitch hit a venomous shot from an impossible angle, which rattled Vorm's bar.

The worrying scenario of Chelsea's lack of defending from set-pieces came to the fore again as Ashley Williams stole in at the far post to score a consolation goal.

Swansea had already hit the bar but for the first 30 minutes and before the opening goal, Swansea looked content in playing a defensive game which seemed to go against Brendan Rodgers philosophies.

In the second-half though, Swansea were a different team. It is a shame that they forgot Scott Sinclair was playing.

Didier Drogba came off the bench for the last ten minutes and with seconds to go, Didier scored Chelsea's fourth with a low soft shot that left Vorm rooted to the spot.
