Why does Ancelotti always say 'We lacked belief, we lacked confidence,' every time chelsea fail to win? Isn't it his job to give the players 'belief' and 'confidence' before they step onto the pitch? Ancelotti is beginning to sound like Benitez - 'We were the better team' - everytime Liverpool got beat!!
Arsenal are no better than us - they haven't won a trophy in years - but I am sorry to say Arsenal were ten times better and Chelsea, who pride themselves in their charity work - continued the giving last night - first Essien played in Walcott who raced away to feed Fabregas who scored to put Arsenal 2-0 up and then a couple of minutes later, Malouda was found wanting, caught in possesion and Walcott went off to score - 3-0 to Arsenal.
Chelsea's only attacking offering was a Drogbba effort that went wide of the post in the first-half, until Ivanovic got a headed consolation goal with Chelsea's only effort on target all night.
Arsenal took the lead right on half-time when Song swept the ball past Cech in a congested area and prior to that Cech pulled off a great save tipping a Nasri effort over the bar.
Without Anelka and Sturridge, Chelsea's options from the bench were severely limited - Kalou 'who hasn't got a clue' - could have played in a ball to cause havoc in the Arsenal area, instead he chose to feed Essien out on the right who in turn fluffed his lines completely.
Just about summed up Chelsea's night and that was in the first-half.
With Bolton tomorrow, Villa on Saturday and Wolves away next Tuesday, if we don't stsrt getting the wins, I can see us struggling to finish in 4th, let alone finish higher.

tki Can you get rid of that Kenyon quote, I'm sick of reading it. Reminds me of happier, more successful Ron Gourlay free times.
Well...you have to take the bad times as well as the good...
It could do with an update though I suppose.

The title is probably out of reach - unless we go on a superb run starting from tomorrow.
Difficult to say just why we look such a shadow of our former selves. Probably down to a culmination of circumstances...low moral from important players missing from injury and the Wilkins situation. It seems to be snowballing but you get the feeling that a good kick up the @#$%& and a decent win and the tide could start to turn.
As for yesterday´s match, Arsenal looked like they wanted it much more than we did...much sharper into the tackle whilst some of ours (particularly Essien, Mikel and Kalou) got caught on the ball far too often. Some of the passing was so laxadasical ...this time Essien again, and Malouda were terrible. The fact is we GIFTED them two goals. The only consolation was how the gooners sh-t themselves when we pulled one back (a sign that they don´t really believe they have really turned a corner yet).
They deserved the win though as we as much deserved to lose.
We MUST win tomorrow - and I´m looking forward to seeing 1-2 youngsters start (they couldn´t do any worse than some of the senior players).
