The 'Special One's' pre-match mind games paid dividends last night at Stamford Bridge as Inter secured their passage into the quarter-finals of the Corrupt Cup. An Eto'o goal 12 minutes from time gave Inter a 3-1 victory on aggregate. Eto'o said in the pre-match hype and build-up, "I dreamt of scoring the winning goal at Stamford Bridge." Dreams do come true then?

When the draw originally paired the two teams together I had no qualms about Mourinho knocking us out and obviously last night I wanted Chelsea to whip his butt and send him scuttling back to the San Siro with his tail between his legs.

Now I hope he goes all the way and repeats his Porto truimph and lifts the 'big-eared' trophy.

As for Chelsea. Last night's performance reminded me of your Mum and Dad going to watch you in a school play - forgetting your lines, not remembering the script and generally muddling your way through the performance.

Chelsea were out of sorts. Erratic passing, constantly slipping and sliding all over the place as proved by Didier when he changed his boots during the second-half. One decent chance all game when Malouda caused Cesar in the Inter goal to save sharply at his near post.

And what is it with all these 35 yard free-kicks? Drogba, Alex all guilty of trying the impossible. Great if they come off, rubbish if they don't as proved last night.

I am convinced the Champions League will never be ours. Again penalty appeals were waved away by Wolfgang Stark (who was supposed to be a 'strong' referee) when Ivanovic was thrown to the ground by Motta and later Didier rugby tackled by Samuel, both in the first-half and both from corner kicks. This after Kalou was tripped by Samuel in the first-leg in the San Siro.

I am waiting for a blatant hand-ball on the line to see how the referee reacts. PENALTY, RED CARD!! yeah right.

Even Didier prior to his red card, was tumbled to the ground by Motta - hence his reaction in pure frustration.

So in three successive games in knockout conditions - Barcelona (4), Inter (1) (San Siro) and last night (3). Eight penalty appeals ALL waved away. Eight decisions - the difference between success and failure.

Can someone tell me what Ballack does? What his role in the team is? OK he pops up every now and again with a goal, he had a shot which went past the post in the early minutes. But apart from strolling about, what does he do?

What Chelsea needed was a 'magician' who could pull a rabbit or two out of the box - just like Snjeider - who set up Eto'o's goal and cut through Chelsea's defence with some wonderful passes.

Our little 'magician' Joe Cole was stuck on the bench for the best part of an hour then he replaced Ballack.

I believe now its time for 'Anco' to start Coley regularly, starting with the visit to Ewood Park on Sunday and if it means upsetting an ego or two, then so be it.

The pressure is on!!!

We couldn't get motivated to score one goal it was a disgraceful performance by the lads we weren't at the races.

And yet again we have the waved away penalty appeals its getting quite ridiculous now.

I think if we had a penalty last night we probably would have missed it anyway we were that bad.

We just have to get on with it i don't think this result will affect the team going into the next games i think it should make us more stronger to getting the results we need.

And the answer to your question 66,"What does Michael Ballack do" ill tell you,he picks up his wage packet every month and that is enough for him because he does sod all else.

Chelsea did get worse when he went off though. And do you seriously want that team of cheatin, arrogant ***** to win the CL? I didn't like all the cuddling up to Jose pre-game, the love struck gaze from Lamps, soppy texts with JT, they fell into his trap! It's simplistic to say it's the Mourinho factor as we were superior in the first leg but it's difficult to explain a performance that bad and feel sorry for Carlo as all the blame will be lumped on the coach as usual rather than those above and below him who are equally culpable.

I would rather Jose win it than Manure, Goonerville or Barca.As for the cuddling up and the loving gazes in the tunnel you are right, he should have ben ignored and they should have ignored him or given him the glare!!!

As for being culpable, Anco is as much to blame as the players.

Prime example during the 2nd half Anco was standing there with a face like he had been stung by a wasp completely inanimate where Jose was flinging his arms all over and 100% animated - showed me who wanted to win more.



Still there is always next year and the next and the next

Chelsea need a Sneider type of player.

He was class and was the difference between the sides. No Chelsea player (apart from JCole when he was a good player. Did Wilkins give him instructions to come on and kick people?) is able to provide a telling pass from midfield apart from the odd occasion.

The two penalty shouts were of course obvious fouls, but they didn't stop clear goalscoring chances if at all & shouldn't disguise the fact that Chelsea were second best.

As for last seasons games against Barcelona, over the two legs Barca were harder done by than Chelsea. Both referees were sh*te. In the first leg, Henry was clearly fouled for a penalty, not given and Ballack should have been off for two yellow cards.
In the second leg, two of the four penalty shouts were nonsense and the other two debatable. And wasn't it a Barca, not a Chelsea, player ridiculously sent off? And shouldn't Ballack have been off for manhandling the ref?
And it's a smoke screen disguising the fact that Chelsea were 1-0 up with 30 seconds left having played for 30 minutes against 10 players.

According to the press Sneijder is on our wanted list amongst others.

It doesnt matter how any team performs if the referee isnt strong enough to give the decisions that are merited then he shouldnt be given such a high profile game.

It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest that Platini texts his refs before the games to remind them NEVA to award penalties to Chelsea.

After 8 diabolical decisions what else is there to say?

YES they were the better team.

YES we were outfought.

YES Mourinho was tactically superior.

YES, once again, the ref stitched us up - AGAIN! And let´s not forget the blatant pen in the first leg.

Not excuses - the above is honest opinion.
