Best For Chelsea?!?!

Brilliant Flo setup 2 goals & scored himself in the stunning victory over West Ham at Stamford Bridge. I have always been the first to criticise Malouda over his performances, but yesterday Malouda finally proved what an exceptional talent he is. He consistently ripped West Ham apart down their right & he capped his brilliant performance with a low shot down to Green's left for Chelsea's third.

Alex's gave Chelsea the lead with a towering header from a Malouda cross. Later on Alex was denied another headed goal by a brilliant one handed save by Green and if a certain lager company could make goals, then Scottie Parker's equaliser was the best seen at Stamford Bridge since Michael Essien's stunner against Barcelona in last season's Corrupt Cup........ probably.

You cannot fault Turnbull for the goal. Parker's shot had pace, power and flight and fair play to Parker being an old boy, he celebrated in the middle of the park, running back to his own jubliant fans.

Speaking of Turnbull, such was Chelsea's dominance, he had hardly anything to do. He picked the ball out of the net, caught a couple of crosses cleanly and safely, he dealt with numerous back passes efficiently and to prove his concentration levels were still very high he made a fine save from Kovac deep into second-half stoppage time.

Had West Ham taken the lead in the early minutes, the game may have taken a different route except that llan shot the over the bar with an open goal gaping.

I think legend Gianfranco was shell-shocked when he said after the game, "Teams like Chelsea really punish you when you make mistakes. I believe the score at the end was too much. It doesn't reflect the game."

Yep Franco you are right - Eight or nine would have been a fair reflection!!

Chelsea's 2nd goal came when JT charged out of defence. JT played the ball out to Malouda who crossed for Didier to head in his first of the game and Chelsea's fourth came when Green could only parry Lampard's shot leaving Didier to tap in from close-range.

The Academy warmed up for the FA Youth Cup semi-final tie 1st leg away to Blackburn on Wednesday with a 2-0 home win against Birmingham City at Cobham yesterday.

Milan Lalkovic and Jacopo Sala scored the goals.

Gokhan Tore was withdrawn with a slight ankle injury, but he should be ok for Wednesday night.

Yep - Malouda was excellent for us and Parker for them.

I liked the way we kept our heads when they levelled, no panic - just got on with the job and pressured and pressured until they caved.

I thought Joey looked sharp and sprightly when he came on.

The woolwich were lucky against Hull - and it looks like the Mancs are thrashing Fulham so its going to be a stressful end to the season.
