Its an early o'clock start for all us as Chelsea take on (an almost extinct) Championship side Cardiff City at Stamford Bridge tomorrow, the game kicking off at Noon, with a place in the quarter-finals at stake. Boss 'Anco' has already named his starting XI (minus JT and Ashley Cole) and the seven substitutes. Borini and Jeffrey Bruma make the bench. The starting line-up is as follows: Hilario, Ferreira, Alex, Carvalho, Zhirkov, Lampard, Mikel, Ballack, Sturridge, J Cole, Drogba

Subs: Turnbull, Bruma, Ivanovic, Malouda, Matic, Borini, Kalou

'Anco' was questioned about John Terry. He said, "John Terry is recovering and he will not play, he will be ready for the next game against Wolves.

"I think he will return stronger. He needed to have some days recovering and he will return to England in plenty of time to be back for Wolves. I spoke with him after the game against Everton to say to rest for a few days."

Of Saturday's opponents, 'Anco' said, "It is very important competition that they won last year, and we have a great opportunity to go forward. We know very well Cardiff will come to do their best, they have a good team, a lot of passion around them, so we have to pay attention and come back to win after the defeat against Everton."

I believe its also live on welsh TV - channel 507 S4C2 I think...

Or it might be 134 S4C....

Well, Ive no qulams at all about Alex slotting in for Terry...and its up to Zhirkov to do the business at LB (and I think he´s really more an attacking/midfield player really).

I´ve heard that Cardiff have a LOT of injuries and will be forced to play a few kids....
