After defeating his sworn enemy (and our Special One) 2-0 the other night, 'Anco' comes face-to- face with his former employees at the M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore in the small 'wee' hours of Saturday morning. Yuri Zhrikov has been granted his work permit and is expected to start, and surprise surprise, The 'Shev' complete with his new blonde locks is also expected to get a starting run out.
Preparations for the game didn't get off to the best possible start. Training for both teams was cancelled last night due to extreme weather conditions.
Chelsea trained at a local university complex and then returned to the M&T Bank Stadium for PR work - signing autographs and photo taking sessions - then the PR session was brought to an abrupt halt because of the overwhelming public demand, leaving hundreds of local residents and supporters very disappointed.
Incidentally the game at the M&T Bank Stadium is a 71,000 sell-out (the third sell-out) of the tour with one game to go against Club America.
Sheva said about his inclusion, "I am very good, fitness good, everything okay.
"I hope I can help the team. The squad is big and we have many good strikers, and for every player we have time to play."
Of Zhirkov's inclusion to start, Anco said, "Zhirkov is working very well now, he can play for the first time for Chelsea and I will give him this opportunity to play for us. He is a new player, very good because his quality we can use for our team. He will play."
Talking about facing his old club, Anco said, "For sure it is not a normal game playing against Milan, it was eight years that I was there, and for sure it is a different game for me but I want to stay with my mind on my team, because it's an important moment now.
"We want to improve and know very well how this team can play. It is an important tournament because there are very good team. Chelsea, Milan, Club America, Inter, it is a friendly but not really because every game is important for us to improve and find a good condition.
"It is important to win because when you win you stay well. Against Milan we want to do this, play well first and improve our condition."
