Chelsea warmed up for their midweek meeting with Barcelona with an impressive display especially in the first-half at a sun-drenched Stamford Bridge yesterday and last night Barca hit Real for SIX as they also warmed up for Wednesday's battle. Warmed up! More like red hot!!
I hope HUSS sent a Chelsea lackey hot foot to the Nou Camp with a DVD showing that Chelsea can play football and score goals in an attractive style. Had any Barca player scored a goal like Anelka's first, you would be seeing re-run after re-run.

After neat interchanges around Fulham's area, Malouda (a most improved Malouda) sent a low cross in, Drogba's neat flick saw the ball run into Anelka's path and he smashed the ball low into Schwarzer's net. 1-0 without a minute on the clock.
Minutes later, Murphy (and they call Super Frank 'FAT') split the Chelsea defence and Nevland (who was Fulham's most dangerous player until he went off injured) raced on and hit a low shot across the diving and flapping like a beached flounder Petr Cech to equalise.

On ten minutes, Chelsea took the lead again and again it was Drogba who provided the telling ball. On Chelsea's right, he sent a low cross across the area and Malouda was on hand to make it 2-1 with only ten minutes gone. If you are wondering what the baby celebrations were all about, Dids partner gave birth to a boy in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Didier Drogba was awesome. He ran, chased, defended, almost got decapitated after a collision with Pantsil, credited with two assists, scored Chelsea's 3rd and when he was substituted late on, he got a deserved standing ovation.
HUSS wasn't entirely happy, claiming Chelsea were sloppy.
He said, "Today I think we had a good result, we are happy with the result but also I don't want to shut my eyes for some moments where I was not happy because we let them play and we were sloppy in some positions. That's what I didn't like despite the good win.
"It is not just in one position, it is a sequence of errors mostly. If we are not disciplined, if we are not concentrated we give away chances which we did once or twice.
"All respect to Fulham because they had a very good season but if you do that on a higher European level, then you are exposed and punished."
