You can't win a title dropping as many points at home as Chelsea have this season - including last night's game that total stands at a disappointing 18. HUUS declared that the title race is over and it is time to concentrate on the upcoming Champions League games and the FA Cup Final.

HUUS said, "There was desire and we started the game rather well. After the first 20-25 minutes when you don't score as a consequence of this good game, we have the tendency to try even more and to lose the positions and patience.

"I am not saying we have to play slow at that moment but you have to maintain your positions and try not to force it. Then automatically the chances will come. We didn't do so."

To prove HUSS' point, Chelsea's only chances on target came when JT hit a 35 yarder which forced Howard into a low flying save and Didier hitting the bar from close range deep into injury time.

HUSS continued, "In the second half we were working hard. You could not blame the team for not working hard but they needed intelligence to break this well-organised wall of defence from Everton. And Everton had some dangerous counter-attacks as well."

Had Jo taken his first-half chances and Cechie Boy not being alert as he was, Chelsea would have been looking at a third home defeat of the season.

Cechie Boy had been at the centre of media and fan criticism in recent weeks, however HUUS was the first to heap praise on the Czech shot stopper.

He said, "He made some good saves and at the end he was very brave regarding his injury past. He put his head in a dangerous situation which is a victory for him personally and on top of that he had a good performance."

Finishing with the media for the night HUUS said, "The West Ham game on Saturday is not a game where we have the approach to let it slip away but the focus is more on the upcoming Champions League games.

"There is disappointment but this team is capable of coping with that and focusing on a very difficult game next week. We will make analysis of players who might be a little bit in the overload zone, we have data for that, and it might be possible that a few might get a rest or play less than normally."
