Media reports claim that Chelsea are already preparing the blue-print for what should be a minor overhaul in the summer by bringing in Carlos Tevez from the Joorabchian group of investors and Luis Fabiano from Sevilla. The summer “minor overhaul” element of the claim is almost certainly true, I’m not convinced by the Tevez report however but wouldn´t be surprised by the desire to sign Fabiano.

The Mail (eeek!) and The Star (another eeek!) are the main perpetrators of the rumours which first appeared a week ago and with regard to Tevez, probably come off the back of an apparent lack of commitment from Ferguson to buy the player outright.

Tevez, 24, has been on loan to Man Utd for £2m a season and the deal expires this summer.  The price for the Argentinean could be around £20million which represents a big difference from the £32m figure long touted around by the media as the Man Utd price should Ferguson want him.  Barcelona and Real Madrid could also bid for his signature.

Rumours of Tevez´s exit from Old Trafford have deepened due to his national team coach Diego Maradona saying that Tevez was near to deciding to leave Man Utd and that he had personally urged him to join Inter Milan.

The Fabiano rumour seems more logical to me at least.  Chelsea are almost certainly planning a small evolution in the summer with players that Scolari needs to help the club realise its transition to a different style of football. 

Some reports state that Fabiano is 'almost certain' to arrive at Chelsea in the summer window and that his price would be a surprisingly reasonable £15m.

Oh well, time will tell.
