The freebie train leaves for Everton from Paddington Station at 11.30am Monday morning for a 8 o'clock kick off. YES!! Paddington Station and the reason for that is Euston Station is closed, at least during the morning rush hour, but because its the start of Christmas week, Network Rail has decided to shaft the football fans, who in normal day-to-day lives, are regular commuters!!
So because of our unusual departure point we are travelling to Liverpool Lime Street via Wales and we are expected to arrive at 17:17pm, there or thereabouts. For a smoker - hells bells?!?!?!? From Lime Street, coaches have been organised to transport us to Goodison Park and after the game the coaches will take us back to Lime Street. The train home is due to leave at 11.30pm and arrive back at Paddington at 03.48am. Fortunately its Xmas Week!! Chelsea travel to Everton with appalling home form, but with a 100% unblemished away record. Played 8, Won 8 and with the red side of Stanley Park DROPPING two more points at Corporate City, the door once again has been left open for Chelsea to rise to the summit of the Premiership (for about the third time this season). X-Factor's Alexandra Burke is Christmas No.1 in the pop charts and she is from North London, COME ON CHELSEA do your job and give us a West London Christmas Premiership No.1 spot and with WBA and Fulham coming up, we can hold on to that top spot until the New Year. Everton's last victory over Chelsea in all competitions was way back in 2000. With Everton's present home form (Won 1, Drawn 3, Lost 4) anything other than a Chelsea win, the journey home will seem like TWELVE hours. HOLD THAT CAB!!
