When you fall off your bike you need to pick yourself up, dust yourself down, lick your wounds and get straight back on the saddle. Chelsea travel to the KC Stadium tomorrow night to play Hull City in another top of the table clash, 2 such clashes in 4 days, who would have thought it and Hull are on a roll against London clubs after beating Arsenal, Tottenham, West Ham & Fulham.

Hull have won their last four games on the trot including that emphatic win at The Hawthorns on Saturday, beating WBA 3-0.

Tomorrow night will not only be a test of the players reactions to defeat from Sunday, but we will see how Big Phil credentials as a manager come into play.

Good news for Chelsea is that Joe Cole has returned to the squad and has travelled. Still out are Didier Drogba and Michael Ballack, both are expected to return in ten days time.

Scott Sinclair is in the squad and he is hoping to be given the chance to repeat his  two goal salvo from last season when Chelsea beat Hull in the Carling Cup, 4-0.

Ray Wilkins was in the hot-seat at today's pre-match press conference and talking  about the immediate reaction in the dressing room after the game on Sunday he  said,

"The atmosphere was morgue-like. They were very, very down, because that's  the standards they set themselves and they feel they didn't quite reach that, so  they are determined to make sure they bounce back as quick as they possibly can."

"We have to have a positive performance first and I'm sure the results will come  after that. The lads are in an extremely positive frame of mind, they are a very  strong-willed group and I think that will see us through okay."

Wilkins then moved on to talk about our opponents, Hull City tomorrow night, he  said

"It's great to see the work they have done there at Hull. The work ethic is fantastic so we know we are in for one hell of a game.

"They have been playing  exceptionally well, with wins at Arsenal and Tottenham.  It's up to us to put  ourselves upon Hull and make it a very interesting night for them."

The way they play is with so much energy, and it can be difficult week in week out, but they have amassed 20 points already, so I am sure Phil Brown will be looking  for the next 20.

"They have demonstrated that they can play, so one defeat is not going to upset  them too much, but it is our aim to inflict that if we possibly can."

Just thinking...

IF we are ahead I would be very tempted to give Di Santo a run out - either partnering Anelka or replacing him.

The 'Freebie' train was 20 mins late leaving Hull and arrived back in London 20 mins early

Trains must get following winds too then?
