Rio Ferdinand to Captain Against Kazakhstan

Over the last few days there has been speculation that JT will not play against Kazakhstan at Wembley on Saturday, due to problems with his back. In the last few minutes it has been confirmed that our inspirational Captain is OUT of the game. England coach Fabio Capello has not yet ruled JT out of the Belarus game on Wednesday night.

A decision will be made before the team flies out to Belarus on Monday.

England will be captained by Rio Ferdinand.

Chelsea still have three players available for selection for tomorrow's game: Ashley Cole, Wayne Bridge and Frank Lampard.

Joe Cole was already ruled out because of an ankle injury sustained in the win over Aston Villa last weekend.
