The fixtures for 2008/09 season were published this morning and Chelsea kick off their challenge for the Premiership title against FA Cup winners Portsmouth at Stamford Bridge on Saturday 13th August. It is possible this fixture date will be moved as it is 'BIG' Phil's first home game.
Now kick off time could be anytime as us football fans are subject to the demands of the TV companies.
Not only are Sky involved and Setanta, that lot across the water, but ITV have got their £££££'s in the bucket too, so we could be kicking off at 'anytime o'clock!!' Now I am not going into the details of every Chelsea home game because I can't, I am sure you can find other areas to source your information, but I will give you a scenario of the important games that Chelsea have to play, like on 20th September (at the moment it is a Saturday) at Stamford Bridge, the Champions come to town. November 29th is the date that Woolwich or Emirates X1 come visiting - expect that date change to change. Chelsea travel to Man Utd on Jan 10th 2009, expect that date to change as well and our visit to 'Goonerville' happens in May. May 9th to be precise. For the 'new boys' to the Premiership - we visit Stoke City on Saturday 27th September, visit Hull on Tuesday 28th October and play the reverse fixtures respectively (Stoke) 17th Jan, (Hull) 7th Feb. As for WBA, well they aint exactly new boys to the Premiership - that's why they are called BOIING BOIING BAGGIES BAGGIES and I thought Chelsea was bad (once upon a time) - always up and down!! In actual fact, expect EVERY date in Chelsea's Premiership fixture calendar to change, don't book anything until you have a confirmed date and 'silly o'clock' kick-off time. Important Cup dates for your Calendar: 2008 16/9-17/9 Champions League Matchday 1 23/9-24/9 Carling Cup 3rd Round 30/9-1/10 Champions League Matchday 2 21/10-22/10 Champions League Matchday 3 4/11-5/11 Champions League Matchday 4 11/11-12/11 Carling Cup 4th Round 25/11-26/11 Champions League Matchday 5 2/12-3/12 Carling Cup 5th Round 9/12-10/12 Champions League Matchday 6 2009 3/1 FA Cup 3rd Round 6/1-7/1 Carling Cup S/F 1st Leg 20/1-21/1 Carling Cup S/F 2nd Leg 24/1 FA Cup 4th Round 14/2 FA Cup 5th Round 24/2-25/2 Champions League 1st Leg Round of last 16 1/3 Carling Cup Final 7/3 FA Cup 6th Round 10/3-11/3 Champions League 2nd Leg Round of last 16 7/4-8/4 Champions League Q/F 1st Leg 14/4-15/4 Champions League Q/F 2nd Leg 18/4-19/4 FA Cup Semi-Final 28/4-29/4 Champions League S/F 1st Leg 5/5-6/5 Champions League S/F 2nd Leg 27/5 Champions League Final 30/5 FA Cup Final There are no New Years Day fixtures and the FA Cup Final is three days AFTER the Champions League Final. Oh and can anyone give me the latest on Didier "I am leaving, no actually I'm staying, I mean no I'm leaving" Drogba? Really makes me laugh the lack of class, respect and passion your squad has for your club. I guess that's what comes with buying success.

Dont you wish you had the kind of passion and respect the mighty 'Pool commands?
