PETER KENYON Marketing. The main man and chief architect of Chelsea’s plans for world domination. Much to the dismay and embarrassment of some hard-core Chelsea fans, United fan Kenyon, has emerged as a Mourinho supporter on the board but has the ear of Roman. This posture, according to the media, isn’t going down well with Roman’s advisors and some even say this could well result in Kenyon picking up his P45.  Kenyon obviously feels that Mourinho is part of the domination plan as he is both marketable and successful.  Kenyon describes Mourinho as “'an excellent manager, absolutely world class, no question of it”.  On the current crisis and possible dismissal of Mourinho: “'This is an old story……We have won the league twice and this season is far from over; we are in the European championship, which means extra revenue, and we are in the Carling semi-final. I would say that is pretty impressive, wouldn't you?'”.Kenyon, in the press conference room, with the screen pointer? A non-starter – has publicly supported Mourinho. FRANK ARNESENHead of Youth Development, undoubted talent-spotting ability and therefore key for the future of Chelsea in terms of successful completion of the 10 year plan.  Problems started between Arnesen and Mourinho when, just after his own appointment, tried to shoe-in Montenegrin Zeljko Petrovic as reserve team manager.  The press are alleging that Mourinho won’t have him anyway near the first team and that Arnesen is interfering with Mourinho´s transfer requirements, however, to contradict this, Arnesen has already stated that he is not involved with first team transfer issues.  Even so, some newspapers say that the Kalou and Boulahrouz signings were Arnesen “suggestions”.   Apparently, Mourinho staff claim Arnesen upset the manager by recommending that the club did not buy Micah Richards in a 5M deal from Manchester City LAST SUMMER! Richards was scouted by Arnesen’s predecessor, chief scout, Gwyn Williams.  Richards was aware of Chelsea’s interest and was stalling on signing a long-term contract at City.  A deal was imminent, but then to add to the case against this suspect, Gwyn Williams was sacked and no reason was given by Chelsea.  City now values the 18-year-old at 20 million!

Some Chelsea fans say Arnesen has already “done the dirty” on PSV and Spurs, and is not to be trusted.  Arnesen was featured on Panorama about agents and illegal payments. There apparently is insufficient evidence to accuse him of anything and although the player involved was a youngster, some wonder why he entertained such an agent.  There is more circumstantial “evidence”, if it’s true that Hiddink hates Arnesen (why, we don’t know) and Jol felt “undermined” by him.  To be fair though, again, there are so many contradictory reports; for example, some say that Mourinho wanted to bring Alex who is on loan at PSV but that Arnesen wanted Boulahrouz whilst another puts forward the opposite scenario!  Mourinho is reported to have told Chelsea that “they (or Arnesen possibly) could sign who they liked but he would be off if they did” - Chelsea deny any such meeting took place. It´s also been reported that a “highly damaging rift” has developed between Mourinho with his backroom staff and a so called “Dutch-Russian connection" comprised of Frank Arnesen and Ruud Kaiser, the youth coach, who supposedly are having more and more influence with Abramovich’s advisors.   Of course, if José goes and you add up paying up his contract with the original contracting of Arnesen with the compensation paid to Spurs, that would make the “Arnesen faxgate” the most expensive fax in history!   Arnesen, in the academy, with the football pump?  Would appear to the prime suspect, although conflicting newspaper reports don’t make a solid prosecution. AVRAM GRANTDirector of Football at Portsmouth.  Early career with Maccabi Tel-Aviv and Maccabi Haifa.  Was Israeli national coach during last World Cup qualifying campaign. Israel finished unbeaten in a group with Ireland, France and Switzerland. Has good press relations and ties with Portsmouth’s owner father (Gaydamak).  Grant was introduced to Abramovich in October 2005 by Pini Zahavi and  Abramovich is reported to be keen to bring in Grant, 'an Israeli whom he trusts' – amazingly to work with Shevchenko - but this would undermine the position of Steve Clarke, Mourinho's right-hand man. Grant has already “told friends” he has a good relationship with Arnesen, that he’ll be joining Chelsea in the summer and that he wouldn’t be surprised if Eriksson joined him at Stamford Bridge!  Ben Haim, a possible Chelsea target for defensive cover, is supposed to be keen to work with Grant again after playing under him for Maccabi Tel-Aviv and Israel – but some of the media say Mourinho prefers Jorge Andrade of Deportivo De La Coruña, who previously played at Porto.  Reports now say that a deal for Ben Haim has been almost completed; however, other reports state that Mourinho is happy with the signing as he was put off his original target, Jorge Andrade after Deportivo La Coruña suddenly demanded 10million. Grant, sneaking into Mourinho´s office, with the Judaic candelabra?  Sounds too far fetched, Shevchenko wasn’t even at Chelsea in October 2005 and he has never worked with Arnesen…. although if any recent influence with Abramovich is more than we think…
