On the weekend that Chelsea Football Club remembers the sad passing of Matthew Harding ten years ago, what odds would you have given for Andriy Shevchenko and Michael Ballack to open their HOME Premiership scoring accounts at the Matthew Harding Stand end of the Stamford Bridge ground?

And... what odds would you have given for both Sheva and Ballack getting booked for celebrating their goals by the same referee, Mark Clattenberg, who a couple of weeks ago allowed Arsenal's Robin Van Persie to celebrate his wonderful goal at Charlton by allowing him to jump over the rails at the away end to celebrate with the Arsenal fans.

As Chelsea do not have rails or such like for any player to jump over how can a ref have one rule for one ground and a rule for another ground?

Its no wonder Jose Mourinho gets so frustrated with the US and THEM rule!!!

After Chelsea's magnificent midweek victory over Barcelona, Jose made two changes bringing Robben for Makelele and Ferreira for Boulahrouz and Chelsea produced another magnificent performance, scoring twice, having three goals disallowed, a JT header cleared off the line and causing David James once again to perform magnificently between the sticks.

What is it with David James and playing against Chelsea??

As for Hilario at the other end despite lots of Portsmouth possession, Hilario picked the ball out of the net once, made a magnificent save from a Gary O'Neil header and dealt with one cross and saw Ricky Carvalho hurdle him (take note Stephen Hunt) when diving out to smother a Portsmouth through ball.
