The Premiership season is back. Big Brother has finished (Congratulations to Pete), Lovejoy, Chamberlain, the Orange sofas, Crossbar challenge, Tubes' question are back on the Telly - Oh Happy Days!!
Nine months of sheer ecstasy or hell are ahead of us and already the Scousers and the Gooners have dropped points.
Chelsea kick-off their defence of the Premiership Crown this afternoon at Stamford Bridge against Stuart Pearce's Man City and a Chelsea win will set the stall for the others to play catch-up.
Michael Ballack is not expected to be fit after his injury sustained at the giant Frizbee competition last weekend. Geremi is out as are Makelele, Cech, Joe Cole and Huth and don't expect Wille G to start even though Chelsea's back four looked mighty shaky in Cardiff.
City's new signing from Liverpool Dieter Hamman who arrived at the City of Manchester stadium, via a short stop at the Reebok claims that Chelsea's short pre-season may work in City's favour.
He said "It might not be a bad time to play Chelsea given that they have a few new players. Virtually all of their squad has played in the World Cup so they have not had much of a pre-season and they have been a long time in America
"We have to play the top sides at some time though I will admit it could have been an easier start to the campaign."
Probable Chelsea line-up:
Cudicini, Ferreira, Terry (c), Carvalho, Bridge, Mikel, Essien, Lampard, Wright-Phillips, Shevchenko, Drogba
COME ON CHELSEA!
