Chelsea 2-2 Southampton: Pep Devalues Roman's Roubles

In an astonishing twist, Pep Guardiola, a long time target of Abramovich to get Chelsea playing the Barcelona way and the reason why Di Matteo, AvB were sacked, sensationally agreed to sign on at Bayern Munich for three years yesterday. Well in fact reports suggest that Pep signed his contract FIVE days before Christmas on 20th December.

What happens now? Who does Roman turn to now? And who in their right mind… will take the job, a job that Abramovich, Buck, and the rest of the mob have devalued by the hiring and firing of a succession of coaches in the last ten years.

If the job is not good enough for Guardiola, then who is it good for?

Chels2-2Soton2

‘The Portly One’s’ claim for a permanent berth diminished (Thank God!) after Chelsea threw away a two goal lead and the chance to move within four points of second place, Money Citeh.

Demba Ba scored his first home goal since joining from Newcastle to put Chelsea 1-0 up and then right on the stroke of half-time, Eden Hazard scored Chelsea’s 2nd. A repeat of the FA Cup result twelve days ago certainly looked on the cards.

Even Nigel Adkins admitted ‘that if Southampton had changed their game plan for the second-half, Southampton could have gone the way of Aston Villa.’

Instead, Southampton kept their shape and within minutes of coming on as a substitute, Rickie Lambert pulled one back with an unchallenged header.

Fifteen minutes from time, Puncheon levelled with an unstoppable volley from just inside the penalty area.

Roll on Sunday, roll on Arsenal OH DEEP JOY!! Weather and snow permitting.
