For the first few minutes of last night's encounter at The Reebok, you couldn't have imagined that Chelsea would eventually run out comfortable winners. Chelsea looked shaky in defence and most of the last gasp clearances didn't go where they were intended. It looked like Chelsea were going to be in for a long night.

However, just on ten minutes, Malouda won a tackle, the ball fell kindly for Drogba who raced towards goal and whack!!! Twenty-five yards out and Jussi was beaten as the ball flew high into the net.

Four minutes from half-time, fortune was on Chelsea's side again as a Mikel cross found Malouda on the other side of the area. Malouda played a one-two against the legs of Cahill then hit the rebound low into the far bottom corner from an acute angle.

Chelsea's third came from Anelka who hit a low shot past Jussi after the hardworking Essien delivered in a low cross down Chelsea's left.

If there were doubts about Chelsea's unity, spirit and camarderie these doubts were firmly erased after Ramires scored his first goal and Chelsea's fourth.

Practically the whole team jumped on him and pulled him to the ground in jubilant celebration.

Seconds later Ramires was subbed to give him a chance to compose himself and enjoy the moment before no doubt being 'mugged' again in the dressing room after the final whistle was blown.

Chelsea didn't have things totally their own way. Cech was forced into a brilliant save from a Taylor header and later in the half, Cech got his body in the way to deny Elmander from a cross between an overhead kick and a bicycle kick.

Chelsea have now won 8 successive games at The Reebok, scoring 18 goals (including two 4-0s in succession) without conceding.

Well, 1-2 more consecutive wins like that and I think we can say that we are back.

Drogba's howitzer was around 32 yards I think (62mph). Sickens me the way some parts of the media mis-represent Drogba about it being best goal of the season so far - it was patently clear that he and Terry were joking with each other during the post-match interview.
