West Ham 1-1 Chelsea: Seriously Why Do We Bother?

Mike Dean - DISGRACE

By Since66

I thought we had seen the last of the 'disgraceful' European refereeing displays last season with you know who.... Mr Tom Herring Bone. But after Sunday's diabolical performance from a certain Mike Dean, the European conspiracy is creeping into the Premiership. For a few years now I have always thought Chelsea never get the run of the green. On Sunday at Upton Park proved it.

Chelsea didn't play well and we haven't done so in the last few weeks, but for a highly paid individual to discount TWO first-half penalty appeals - the first when Gabbidon handballed TWICE in West Ham's area and the second when Green took out Kalou - is just frankly disgraceful.

Add to that Mark Noble should have been given a red card for his lunge at Michael Ballack which Dean chose to ignore, so therefore shouldn't Dean have booked Ballack for a dive? Fair question!

Then the farce of all farces Dean makes Super Frank take a penalty THREE times - so did Super Frank collect the matchball? The previous two attempts which Super Frank scored from, were re-taken because of encroachment.

Who by? West Ham or Chelsea or both sets of players?

Then interestingly when Super Frank stepped up to finally score Chelsea's equaliser, players from both sides encroached!! So did Dean get fed up and award the goal or was he really keen NOT to see Super Frank score?

westham5

For the record, it wasn't even Dean who awarded the penalty. It was his Assistant who incorrectly signalled that Upson had fouled Sturridge, when he clearly played the ball.

Still what goes around comes around, but we needed whatever goes around to have come back round twice!!

Fair play to Super Frank though. He showed true professionalism and class to react under such pressure, but to be honest Chelsea should have been home and hosed by then.

We weren't at the races in the first-half. Both Kalou and Malouda went missing without permission and they both should have been carted off way before half-time.

Still at the start of the Christmas period - four points ahead at the top are better than three, but SIX would have been nice!!

So you never saw Franco being hacked down again and again or being brought down by Carvalho for a definate penalty!!!

Did you forget to mention that the penalty Chelsea won wasn't even a penalty. You even forgot to mention Carvalho taking out franco for a West Ham penalty that wasn't given. Also John Terry took out franco very early on when he was one on one, shudve been red carded as should've ashley cole for taking out Collison as the last man...

What a hurredously biast take on the game. Did Kalou have control of the ball? absolutely not- was this even protested by any member of the Chelsea team or backroom staff - absolutely not. Did Matthew Upson win the ball- absolutely.

Suggesting that Noble should of been sent off is ridiculous- if your nit picking then go for 'Super' Scotts tackle on Ballack but Noble...come on - not one mention on MoTD or any of the papers.

Ian Wright did a fantastic piece on you guys last week- and the fickle nature of the Chelsea fans acting like spoilt kids whilst chomping on their prawn sandwiches.

There's only one thing that lets down Chelsea and its not the referees.

You chelsea fans prove just how miss-informed you selectively are week in week out

You make it sound as if you never get away with anything

Drogba......hahaha in fact no im not even guna go there

Ballack, he's a cheat himself, deserves what he gets, look at community sheild, am sure none of you will admit the goal you scored after his UFC type challenge on Evra shouldnt have counted

"what goes around, comes around" is 100% rich coming from a chelsea fan, that i can assure you

Wow that was the most bias rubbish i have ever read, dont get me wrong the penalty was a tad harsh to take it three times when west ham players were in the box, however should never of been a penalty, kalou had already kicked the ball off at the end of the day chelsea didn't perform on the day and for a change west ham attacked chelsea which was probably more surprising as usually we sit back the whole game and slowly break however we sat back but hit you hard on the break. Cole should of gone last man by the letter of the law but he didn't deserve a red so i think the ref down well, one problem with chelsea is you moan so much, you win a free kick terry moaning at the ref, you win a goal kick terry moaning at the ref, seriously why moan so much fair enough if you believe the decision is harsh but when you win something always got something to say grow up.

Ref WAS terrible - for THEM and US!

Agree with you on the handballs and the fouls. Yes, we shouldn´t have had a pen - but then they were lucky not to get one against them when Green took out Kalou. The ref was also a joke on the pen re-takes.

We are lacking a little bit of edge at the moment although they were camped in their half for the second half.

4 points clear is fair enough at the moment though - can´t complain.

This is possibly the worst most biased match report i have ever seen, what a pathetic article. Yes you could of have two penalties, neither were particularly protested for and if Chelsea dont dont protest then it cant have been that clear of a penalty. The penalty you did get was not a penatly.

On the encroachment the ref was correct, is it not the rules? Plus on the third penalty only drogba encroached by about 8 inches, what are you moaning about.

To say Noble should have been sent off is beyond stupid and how about the "assult" by Carvalho on Franco, which was the most obvious penalty of them all.

P.S remember the pen you got against liverpool last year, you think you get hard done by, you must be joking.

If you don´t protest then you don´t deserve a penalty? What rule is that then?

And you reckon the article is biased but you are not I suppose?!
