Money Citeh 2-1 Chelsea: Unable to Change

COME ON CHELSEA

From about twenty minutes in Chelsea struggled. The defence of JT, Ricky, Ivanovic and Ashley Cole creaked & creaked & rocked about 'till Adebayor stabbed home Citeh's equaliser from close-range. There was a suspicion of handball as Shaunie's shot hit Richards on the arm as he was pulling it back in but these things happen and Chelsea would have been extremely lucky had Howard Webb given it. Chelsea got off to a flyer when an Anelka shot was saved by Given but the rebound bounced off Adebayor into the back off the net after eight minutes. Had Drogba's shot gone in just before, there may not have been a way back for Citeh.

Carvalho saved Cech's blushes when he was out jumped by Richards and off the line Carvalho appeared to give the defence some respite.

Citeh's winner came from a 20 yard Tevez free-kick which I thought Cech could have done a lot better with as the ball skipped over his outstretched arm and into the net and the strike gave Citeh a well deserved lead.

Chelsea had a chance to equalise from the penalty spot after Didier was fouled, but an awful Super Frank penalty allowed Given to dive to his right to save easily.

Chelsea's major problem was that they were unable to adapt during the game to Citeh's pressing tactics in midfield. Citeh smothered us completely and their set-up allowed them to attack at will when the opportunity arose - and there were plenty!!

Still, we regained parity with Goonerville and the Ure having lost THREE games and I imagine still more points will be dropped as the season progresses and the future Champions could win the title with lowest points in the Premiership's twenty year odd history.
