Carlo Ancelotti today confirmed that club record signing Andriy Shevchenko can leave Chelsea and his most likely destination is Dynamo Kiev. Anco said, "We don't have news of players that will come into Chelsea, only that Shevchenko will decide to return to go to play in another team.
"I spoke with Shevchenko, and he would like to play with continuity. Here for me it is difficult to give him this possibility to play a lot of matches and I think he will take the right decision for him.
"He will take his decision, it is not our problem, and he will choose the team that is right for him."
Tomorrow in ANOTHER irregular kick-off for the sake of BLOODY TV (12.45pm kick off), Chelsea take on new boys to the Premiership Burnley and Chelsea will be looking for a little bit of revenge after the Carling Cup knockout last year after a penalty shoot-out.
The game as you might remember ended in a 1-1 draw and Didier got himself into a bit of bother after the 'coingate' incident.
Speaking about tomorrow's opponents, Anco said in his pre-match press conference, "They like to play football and tomorrow will be a very good match, a spectacular match, and I don't think that they come to Stamford Bridge only to defend. I am impressed with this team and the quality of their play.
"I think that with Burnley it is important to take control of the game. They have good quality for attacking. They can use the wing, they can use the long ball, they can use the quality of their midfielders. It will be an open game."
Burnley have already 'scalped' Man Utd and Everton at The Moor this season and their only away game so far was a 2-0 defeat at Stoke City on the opening day of the season.
The last time Chelsea played Burnley in League action at The Bridge was way back in 1982 in the 'old' Division Two.
There was a magnificent crowd of 8,184 with Chelsea winning 2-1, David Speedie and giant Mickey Droy scoring Chelsea's goals. Brian Laws scored Burnley's reply.
Chelsea's team that day:
Steve Francis, Joey Jones, Chris Hutchings, John Bumstead, Mickey Droy, Colin Lee, Phil Driver, Peter Rhoades-Brown (Clive Walker), David Speedie, Mark Falco, Mike Fillery.
Shame about Sheva in a way - though it was inevitable. We will be another striker (experienced) short for the CL though when Drogba is banned.
"It is born out of hypocrisy and fundamental insecurity. There have been two kids on the block for the past 12 years. Suddenly, there is a third and that one is threatening to be more successful than the others and they don’t like it." P Kenyon.
Coyle said: 'I remember playing up in Scotland against teams like Rangers and Celtic and we went for a 0-0 draw.
'I decided then that, when I had a team, whoever we were playing against I would look to win the game.
'Going up against the Manchester Uniteds, Liverpools and Chelseas, trying to defend for 90 minutes is pointless, as they will pick you off anyway.
'I would rather lose a game than go into a match contributing nothing. At least then you know you have tried to win a game.
'Chelsea won't underestimate us, for a number of factors. We knocked them out of the Carling Cup when we went there last year, and the Drogbas and the Lampards were all playing. They saw what we had in the locker.'

well played, we were spanked today by a top teqm, and one of the est teams to have played Burley in a very lng time. suffice to say we are learning about the prem at the moment, but hopefully we can extend our stay beyond the end of this season....I'll be happy to finish 16th with our squad!
Unfortunately Burnley are one of the teams i tipped to go down but i hope they prove me wrong.
I have got to give Burnley a lot of credit for the way they came to play football and not just defend.
I think Coyle is a good manager and he gets the best out of the players he`s got,i hope you stay up.
Your keeper is top draw and i hope you keep hold of him because he will win you games when your not playing well.
cheers guys. It is just "little ol Burnley" seem to be patronised widely by the pundits at the moment, who dont give us a chance of staying up. I have to say on the evidence so far (I know it is early days), but there are 3 teams that I feel will finish below us namely
Portsmouth, Blackburn (have to say that!) and hopefully Birmingham (negative 11 men behind ball tactics).
I hope we manage to stay up if only to prove the @#$%& wrong!
There will not be many teams who come away from stamford bridge with the points, and hopefully you will spank the aforementioned teams more substantially than 3-0! (LOL)
all the best!
