Fulham Preview: Anco's 1st London Derby

COME ON CHELSEA

Chelsea travel to near neighbours Fulham this afternoon in their 2nd irregular kick off of the season, the hat-trick is completed when Chelsea host Burnley at Stamford Bridge next weekend. Anco endured his longest journey of the season in successfully in midweek, today's trip will be his shortest.

Last season at the Cottage the game ended 2-2 when Clint Dempsey equalised for Fulham in the last seconds, I doubt a similar experience will go down to well with the new coach.

As with our previous two League games, I expect Chelsea to go behind..... COUGH COUGH.

Anco celebrates

Seriously though I really don't know what to expect, simply because  we are all still learning about the new coach's ways.

Our 1st game saw the 4-4-2 diamond formation, in midweek the formation was tweaked to celebrate Christmas early. Today's formation... who knows?

However in his pre-match press conference Anco said, "When we play with two players behind one striker we can press the opponents better when we are without the ball because these two players, Deco and Kalou, can work on the central midfielders (of the opposition).

"The diamond is a little bit different because our offensive midfielder has to play against the central players and when we defend it is more difficult to close the space and to press.

"The first way I think is better away from home."

Well thats told the opposition!!

LAST SEASON RESULTS

Fulham 2-2 Chelsea

Chelsea 3-1 Fulham
