With Ronaldo out of Ure's side at the KCC Stadium, Nicolas Anelka had the chance to grab the Golden Boot in the sizzling sunshine at The Stadium of Light yesterday afternoon. After a goalless first-half, where Drogba nearly chipped one in and Malouda hit the bar, Hiddink made a tactical change at half-time and the goals flowed.
Hiddink spoke about the change, he said, "If you are too eager to get something then it normally will not happen, so we said we have to play a little bit differently, more off the ball, and in the first action Drogba went off the ball and not towards the ball, created space for Anelka and at that moment he had to execute it and I think he did it with a world class goal."

Anelka picked up the ball in his own half, ran and ran with the Sunderland defence backing off before unleashing a rising thunderbolt into the roof of the net in front of the 3,000 plus travelling Chelsea fans.
Five minutes later Richardson equalised after Cech failed to deal with a cross and Richardson shot home sending the home fans into delirium.
Cech didn't have a good game. He was bullied into submission by Kenwyne Jones and it was Jones who scored Sunderland's 2nd with a firm header late into the game.

Kalou restored Chelsea's lead with a shot from outside the area and Ashley Cole got Chelsea's third and his second for the club, to put Chelsea into the comfort zone and the Sunderland stripes into the Twilight Zone - You know what that is like - waiting on news and other results.
Hiddink's final assessment on Chelsea's last league game, "We had a good game, some periods a little bit sloppy when they made it 1-1 but overall I think we dominated control of the game rather well."
