Ricardo Carvalho, Juliano Belletti along with Michael Mancienne and Franco Di Santo all start for the reserves tonight against West Bromwich Albion at Griffin Park, Brentford, kick-off 7pm.
Jan Sebek, who is almost as tall as Petr Cech continues in goal and Frank Nouble (or BIG Frank) continues up front as the reserves look for their first win in six against the bottom club in the Barclays Premier Reserve League.
Chelsea: Jan Sebek, Juliano Belletti, Nana Ofori-Twumasi, Liam Bridcutt, Michael Mancienne, Ricardo Carvalho, Frank Nouble, Jeffrey Bruma, Franco Di Santo, Jacob Mellis, Patrick van Aanholt.
Subs: Nick Heimann, Sam Hutchinson, Tom Taiwo, Jacopo Sala, Fabio Borini
WBA: Ryan Allsop, Dwayne Samuels, Tom Waghorne, Joss Labadie, Cameron Gayle, Paul Downing, Kim Do-Heon, Youssouf Mulumbu, Chris Wood, Juan Carlos Mensequez, Josh Knight
Sounded like an interesting match - how did Mancienne do at left-back then?
.
"It is born out of hypocrisy and fundamental insecurity. There have been two kids on the block for the past 12 years. Suddenly, there is a third and that one is threatening to be more successful than the others and they don’t like it." P Kenyon.
PK - Chelsea TV is alright. Show every reserve game live all they need to do now is show the Academy live.
Dixon Cheers
Mancienne started off alright at left-back. Made a couple of good surging runs which created a couple of half chances. However he had a few problems when WBA's Mensequez who scored WBA's goals, went out to the right.
In the 2nd half when Riccy was subbed, Mancienne moved back into the middle. I dont think he will be considered for Barca at left back.
