Gillingham have lost at Valley Parade after going two nil up after 15 minutes. The Gills lead the game until Dean Windass equalised on 61 minutes after Windass did see his penalty saved by Jack, but it fell straight to Windass who found the net. The Gills got off to the perfect start and took the lead after just six minutes after fantastic work on the wing by Matty Jarvis who crossed low and picked out Bentley who fired home for give the Gills a one goal lead.

The Gills managed to double their lead after just 13 minutes when the referee played good advantage. The ball fell to skipper Mickey Flynn who let loose a fantastic 25 yard effort that went in off of the crossbar. Gillingham were growing in confidence - and Matty Jarvis went on another run down the wing, passed his man, picked out Flyyn whose shot found the side netting.

But the Gills couldn't wait for half-time and after 3 consecutive corners, Bower latched onto the cross and volleyed past Jack - who did get a hand to it, but the shot was to powerful.


The Gills went in at half time pleased with thier efforts, but Jepson would have been dissapointed for the final quarter of the half's performance.

The Bantams came out at half time playing good football, and took advantage of some poor play by Gillingham. Jack and Jackman kept the Gills in front when Jack pulled off a cracking stop considering he was making Jupp taking his goalkicks in the first half due to injury. Jack stopped a decent effort from Bridge-Wilkinson, then Danny Jackman was forced to clear off of the goal-line.

But their breakthrough came on 61 minutes when Bentley gave away a penalty. Windass stepped up to take the penalty but did see his shot parried by Jack, and Windass made no mistake at the second time of asking.

Gillingham then went 3.2 down after a fine shot by Windass. 82 minutes had passed when the expierienced veteran Windass did well to finish inside the box.

The Gills' miserey was complete when Jermaine Johnson got free in injury time to make it 4.2. The Gills' away day's miserey continues despite and good start.
