Even 'The Special One' has given his blessing to yours and everybody else's gambling habits, saying that gambling on the horses and dogs is part of our culture.

Now not being a gambling man, I used to be once, I had 'one last chance' to play on a punt as I walked through the turnstiles at Stamford Bridge this afternoon but my mind was on other things as I walked past the betting booths on my way up to my 'season ticket - I got two babe' seat and it wasn't anything to do with JT scoring the first goal or any other goal.

In fact if the truth be known it was the worry of JFH coming back to Stamford Bridge and doing some damage. After all you have to respect a team that had already beaten our nearest rivals Arsenal and Man Utd this season and despite reading in this morning's press that JFH might not play, once one heard the official team news, the element of doubt would either be erased or confirmed.

It was confirmed.JFH would start and before the first quarter of the game was completed, JFH had hit the post with Boro's one and only meangingful chance on target. Jimmy's attempt came after fine work from Yakubu who left Carvalho struggling. As Jimmy's chance fell at the Matthew Harding End of Stamford Bridge, the faithful gave up 'Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink' as JFH turned away in despair. Had the chance gone in I swear the Blue Faithful' would have cheered had it been a home goal.

When Jimmy was substituted on seventy minutes he was given a standing ovation by the home fans.

The goal itself came from captain and the £5,000 per week gambler himself, John Terry. I should have seen it coming and had a bet. From a Duffer corner, JT rose higher than everybody else and the ball just crossed the line, direct in my line of vision and fortunately that off the Assistant Referee who awarded the goal. There were no protests from the visiting 'Boro players to which their acceptance of the decision has to be applauded.

For those among us 'who are into statistics,' of the twenty-two League goals that Chelsea have scored at home this season, eighteen of them have been scored in the second-half. As Chelsea generally attack the MHL end of the ground in the second-half, Me and '17 Years a Blue' get to see and enjoy the majority of the goals scored and player celebrations.

Chelsea still remain 100% undefeated at home in the Premiership. Played 8, Won 8. Scored 22 Conceded 4.
