Since the showing of much love to the legend which started at Wolves earlier in the day, the media is now calling for future one-minutes silences to be treated in the same way. Atter a patient Chelsea build-up the ball found itself at Ferreira's feet on the Chelsea right. Ferriera let fly from 30 yards and Pompey's 'keeper Ashdown had the shot covered all the way. What Ashdown didn't expect was for Crespo to run in and divert the ball into the opposite side of the net. Jose described the goal as a 'fantastic' goal. If you count the goal that Crespo scored for Argentina against England, Crespo has now scored 4 goals in four games. No bad for a man who is supposed to be at loggerheads with the 'Special One.'

Chelsea's second came from the penalty spot after Dejanovic fouled Man of the Match Joe Cole just inside the area. Up stepped Chelsea's new record holder, Frank Lampard to coolly place the ball in the opposite corner to Ashdown's dive. Super Frank has now become the new record holder after playing in 160 consectutive Premiership matches.

Minutes later Cole was fouled on the opposite of the area and Chelsea should have had another penalty, but Ref Dowd deemed the foul was on the edge.

Chelsea nearly had a third when subsitute Geremi sent a 25 yard free-kick a fraction past the post.

So since the 'so-called blip,' Chelsea have now won three out of three scoring seven goals and conceding none.
