If you look for a thread that I posted on - Predictions - I said that both European games would end in a draw - so far I am correct. And the reasons are, because these two great clubs (clubs with tradition and history), did not want to lose and knew that they could not afford to lose to each other. But when it comes to the domestic matches (and the next is on Sunday) the whole scenario changes. Where Chelsea survived at Anfield against the European Champions can Liverpool survive against the Premiership Champions who are 100% in seven games with a max of 21 points and a bookmaker today announced that they are paying out NOW to anybody who had a bet on Chelsea retaining their title, because they believe that Chelsea will.

Apparently one punter posted a £15,000 bet at evens on Chelsea to retain their title and is going to get £30,000 whenever he/she goes to claim it. Easy money LOL and it is only the day or so the end of September. Simply staggering!!

Football is a funny old game. Sunday should be a diifferent game. If Liverpool get the same penalty claims as they did last night, I am sure that they will get them, unless your name is Tiago. Of course as he is plying his trade with Mr Gerard now it is highly unlikely. But if the 'Special One' decides to drop either Gallas or Drogba on Sunday (or both) then Liverpool might have a chance. All I will say is that any other referee, could have interpreted those decisions differently last night.

For the game itself. For me it was predictable. But for Chelsea to receive the criticism that they have, especially as Liverpool being the home team, who are 'obligated' to be the more attacking force, is deplorable.

But then again 'We Are Chelsea' and easy targets for such attacks.

To be the away team return home after a Champions League match with a point, has to be acknowledged!!
