An Early Start for Us All!

Clock On

Oh well here we are. December already and tomorrow we play the first of three games at home in this seasonal month. The Toon from Newcastle are tomorrow's visitors and with the early start,...........

.........12-45, by virtue of the TV cameras, no-one has an earlier start to their sporting day than the mass of barcode shirt wearers who will be venturing to the capital.

Chelsea go into the game with only one defeat in 23 games (in all competitions) and flying high just like the blue flag, at the top of the Premiership five points clear of our nearest rivals Arsenal, who incidentally we just happen to visit in nine days time. Three points tomorrow would take us nicely and comfortably in command and in a relative area of comfort should the worse happen at Highbury.

Chelsea have no fresh injury worries, with the exception of Huth and I would imagine that our beloved JM - Mr Cool, Mr Arrogant, I am a Champion (go Jose) will once again revert the starting lineup to the lineup that has started the last two Premiership games. COME ON CHELSEA!

Newcastle however are without Shearer and Butt which is a major loss for the Toon, but having said that if both Bellamy and Robert have their footballing heads on instead of looking like they don't give a damm, they could give Chelsea's defence quite a torrid time, in the same way as Bolton did in those last few minutes a couple of weeks ago. We don't want a repeat of that.

Chelsea announced today ticketing arrangements for the Carling Cup Semi Final v Man Utd. Prices are £20 adults and £10 concessions. Man Utd have been allocated the MHL, therefore all season tickets holders in the MHL will be relocated to other areas of the ground (same arrangements as the West Ham game). Season ticket holders have until Friday 17th December to claim their tickets.

After tomorrow's game, Chelsea travel to play Porto on Tuesday, then the BIG one next Sunday against 'The Arse' followed by two successive homes games versus Norwich and The Villa, before December's entertainment is concluded with a away trip to Portsmouth on Tuesday 28th. December could well be the month which goes long way to determine the destination of the title. COME ON CHELSEA!

Lastly sincere sympathy to Frank Lampard who lost his Grandad last weekend. Respect Frank.
