The ‘trial’ of our ‘One England Captain, Leader and Legend’ began at the FA yesterday at Wembley hours after JT called time on his England International career, something he really should have done when he was stripped of the captaincy (for the 2nd time) or after he was found NOT GUILTY in a Court of Law back in July.

The FA have taken JT to task despite his acquittal in a Court of Law with the following charge: ‘Using abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour and inclusion a reference to the ethnic origin and/or colour and/or race.’

In my view the FA has completely re-written and re-defined the true meaning of racism, because the FA knew they couldn’t ‘charge’ JT with the same offence because he was found NOT GUILTY in a Court of Law.

The FA in their desperation to harang JT (and let’s face it, the FA has been after him for years) have completely ignored their own rule book with the following rule:

‘Where the subject matter of a complaint or matter before the Regulatory Commission has been the subject of previous civil or criminal proceedings, the result of such proceedings and the facts and matters upon which such result is based shall be presumed to be true unless it is shown by clear and convincing evidence, that is not the case.’

JT believes that the FA’s refusal to acknowledge this rule and bring an end to an incident that happened nearly a year ago, will find him guilty and be banned for a considerable period of time.

A ban that could be longer than the ban given to Liverpool’s Luis Suarez.

The cynic in me tells me JT was told to walk and that the statement of the announcement was  prepared on his behalf, after all ‘untenable’ IS NOT a John Terry word, and the cynic in me also says, JT will be found NOT GUILTY!

The hearing at Wembley is expected to last three days.

I am hoping Bobby Di will make loads of changes to keep players fresh for the trip to Corporate City on Saturday.

Bobby has lots of options in Cesar Azpilicueta, Victor Moses, Ryan Bertrand, Romeu, Lucas Piazon and if both fit, Sturridge and Marko Marin who hasn’t been seen in a 1^st team shirt since the tour of America.

Wolves boss Stale Solbakken who has seen his team record three straight victories said, “Last time I was at Stamford Bridge with Copenhagen and we drew 0-0 so maybe we can do that and win on penalties!
