What - no pies?

In the last week, Premiership new lads Burnley have beaten both Manchester United and Everton at Turf Moor - great results for a side many experts predicted would be relegated this season. Now they face a totally different test when they come to Victoria Park for a Carling Cup second round tie against Hartlepool United, and the result will almost certainly depend on how they approach the game. Pools will be desperate to earn their first home win of the season on the back of Saturday’s 1-0 success at Gillingham in league One.
And having beaten West Brom and Stoke in cup competitions last season, pools have every right to hope they can add a third Premiership scalp to that lit on Tuesday night.
But will Burnley boss Owen Coyle (right) be tempted to rest many of the players who have helped the club produce such good performances and results at the start of their long-awaited return to the top flight?
They did well in the Carling Cup last season and some say their form in the competition was the springboard for their drive into the play-offs and ultimate promotion.
It’s an intriguing situation and it’s a difficult to tell what Coyle will do. There’s no doubt if the game was against Man U or Everton, Pools would be facing mostly reserves.
But Burnley are not yet established in the Premiership and could be tempted to put out a strong team to give the home side a real game.
Pools, meanwhile, are likely to be unchanged after the Gillingham win, with James Brown looking to  add to the great goal that earned Saturday’s win as he continues his progress towards full match fitness following his knee injury. 

PS – why aren’t Burnley sponsored by Hollands Pies now? We were really looking forward to them being the only team in the Premiership with a pie company’s logo on their shirts.

No doubt he'll rest a few but all I can say is that it is good to see a proper club like Burnley coming to the Vic on the crest of a wave. Burnley is a town that isn't even as big as Hartlepool and theyve just beaten Man U and Everton. Brilliant and good for the game.
Having said that I hope we stick it up em!

Burnley have shown every "small" club what is possible and even though I think they'll go down, I hope they don't and I hope they aren't disgraced.
